Here on this page you will find examples of how I can digitally enhance your photograph's. Remember, these are only examples so please just let me know your exact requirements when you upload your photo's to me.
Colour Popping
The original shot on the left has been cropped in and converted into black and white. Any unwanted items have been removed and the original colour of the skirt has been brought back. The image is then finished off with some selective sharpening and the removal of any digital noise.
In 95% of colour popping all the original images are converted into black and white. The desired contrast is dictated by the light conditions and subject matter. Here, I really wanted to highlight the red of her dress and the tomato sauce finger so the contrast level was toned down.
Black and White Conversions
I have recomposed this image using the rule of thirds and cropped in to show off the main feature. After converting to black and white using calculations I've added some catchlights to her eyes and removed some very slight skin imperfections.
A little more complicated here. Firstly, I converted into monochrome using channel mixers and then removed milk spots and small red rashes on the babies face. I intensified the catchlights in the eyes and reduced the contrast. Finally I added a soft spotlight focusing on the eyes which gave the image it's vignetted appearance.
Portrait Enhancements
Here we can see the background has been cleaned up giving the ultra white effect.A gausian blur was put onto the model and then her hair, eyes, lips and jewellery were brought back to there original sharpness. The white's of the eyes have been lightened slightly and flash reflections removed.
Portrait enhancement isn't just for the fairer sex. Using a gausian blur again this has improved the complexion, disguising any shaving rashes, spots and reducing the look of the tired bags under the eyes. Catchlights have been added, eyebrow's trimmed and highlights put through the model's hair.
Here the model has had her heavy tired eyes cloned away using a fresh clear part of her skin. Her skin tones have been improved after what looks like an incorrect white balance on the original. Eye whitening, facial shadow reduction and a subtle Gausian blur complete the photo.
